Code of Professional Conduct

The Code applies to all verified actuary members of INQA GROUP (International Qualified Actuaries Group) in all locations and at all times in their conduct in relation to an actuarial role.

1 Members must respect client confidentiality (except where client consent has been granted, or disclosure is otherwise permitted by law) and perform professional services with integrity, competence, skill and care.

2 Members must ensure that their professional judgement is not compromised, and cannot reasonably be seen to be compromised, by bias or conflict of interest.

3 Members must comply with all relevant legal, regulatory, and professional requirements. Members must, as soon as reasonably possible, disclose to the Secretariat any of the following which apply to them:

  1. Any adverse disciplinary finding by any regulatory body to which they are subject in their work
  2. Any court finding related to fraud or dishonesty.

4 Members must communicate appropriately.
